Meteorologist
Fox 8 WVUE Meteorologist Nicondra Norwood loves serving her home region. The Gramercy native began her broadcasting career in Montgomery, AL. Followed by a few years in Memphis, TN before returning home to New Orleans in 2007.
Nicondra’s love for weather began at an early age from her first science project on evaporation to bringing hurricane tracking charts to present to the class with every storm. Inspired by her mother a Science teacher and grandmother’s love for education Nicondra graduated as Valedictorian from Lutcher High School in St. James Parish. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in Meteorology and a minor in Communications.
Nicondra’s greatest professional joy is passing on that legacy with school talks, station tours and mentoring future meteorologists.
Her husband LeVar Lewis is a native Louisianan from St. Charles Parish. They are proud residents of Kenner where they look forward to raising their son Gage.
In her free time, she loves dancing and getting together with friends and family and supporting numerous charitable organizations.
